Could it have been the senior investment advisor, Robert Rubin, who led Citigroup down the path of reckless investments in the real estate market in search of bigger profits? That sounds an awful lot like the Democratic talking points about the greedy Republicans. Good thing Mr. Rubin is not going to influence the new administration. Oh wait! Obama just announced that he is picking Geithner as Treasury Secretary, Summers as Senior White House Economics Advisor, and Orszag as Budget Director. All three are (in the words of that right-wing paper the NY Times) protégés of Mr. Rubin and ex-Clinton appointees.
Good thing we voted in the candidate for change.
