Living in the Land of OZ

It struck me recently that America has been thrust into the limelight as the star of a major motion picture, The Wizard of OZ.

Think of it:

When Dorothy (America) became lost among the throng of well-meaning munchkins (Democrats), they told her that all her troubles could be assuaged by the Wizard of OZ (President Obama), in the great Emerald City (Washington, DC).  Along the way she met others.  A scarecrow (American working class) that had been hung out to dry and told he had no brains, a tin man (Corporate America) that had been frozen into inaction and accused of having no heart, and the Lion (US Military) that had been reduced to inaction from paranoia and accused of being cowardly.  Of course as we all know, the scarecrow was the smartest in the group, the tin man had the biggest heart, and the lion was the bravest of them all.  These hidden traits came to light when the Wicked Witch of the West (Nancy Pelosi) did everything in her power to obtain the ruby slippers (Power) using every resource at hand, but most especially her league of winged monkeys (Main stream media).  With the help of the trio and of course the faithful Toto (talk radio) Dorothy made it to the Emerald City and past the guardian at the gates (Rohm Emanuel) to ask for help from the Wizard.  Then, Toto revealed the man behind the curtain to be less than God-like.  The Wizard then proceeds to hand out placebos to the trio to “give” them the attributes they already possessed.  After this bit of self aggrandizing, he then takes the one thing Dorothy needed (the Balloon), for himself.  Dorothy is finally saved by realizing that she possessed the power to help herself all along.
